FEBRUARY 23, 2020, 10am – 4pm
SNOWDONIA, NORTH WALES
Come and join us for a nourishing day of Printmaking, Painting and Poetry with Linda Davies, Carole Shearman and Jill Teague. ‘Bringing in the Light’ will be a day of gentle, guided sessions to celebrate the returning of the light, spent in the unique environment of Pant yr Ynn Mill, Blaenau Ffestiniog
No experience needed – just an open mind and heart
We’ll start the day with a short candlelit meditation followed by
Candle in the Earth – Wet on Wet Painting with Carole Shearman
The candle in the earth represents growth and abundance hidden in the ground, awaiting awakening from the light spring brings. Wet on wet is a meditative painting practice where the colours flow in conversation with each other and with the painter. The element of water brings in light and movement.
Winter Trees to Spring Light – Writing for Well-Being with Jill Teague
Using poetry and visual images, we will explore this time of seasonal transition, and our personal relationship with it.
Claiming the Light – Printmaking with Linda Davies
Working with dark field Monotype as a starting point, we’ll gently wipe away the rich black ink, revealing layers of light and texture, to create beautiful circular prints.
