I am a counselling psychologist with specialization in cultural therapy and trauma informed therapies. I currently work as the Head of Unit for the University Counselling Service at the University of the West Indies, Mona. I also run a small private practice. My passion is community mental health and so I am always looking for ways to build a more community based, participatory community practice.  I have found poetry to be a wonderful tool in my work and I am happy to be part of the iaPOETRY community.
