I am based in Oman, Middle East. My passion for poetry began as a child writing poem in Arabic then switched to English. Since childhood poetry was a solace due to family separation and divorce resulted my parents living into different countries.  Once again poetry became a source of healing with death of my father due to cancer and that led me in publishing three books of poetry, to create greater public awareness about cancer in Oman and Tanzania.

I was in pursuit of a purpose and that led me to experiment coaching, personality assessment and public speaking. Only when I found iaPOETRY, as I enrolled for Poetry Therapist Practitioner training to gain Professional Qualification, it became apparent how truly I can contribute to individuals and society.

As part of my PTP training I now facilitate small “Healing Pen” groups in cooperation with Serene Muscat (mental wellness clinic) in Oman.
